Our Family Aussies. Sukey 1990 - 1991 our first Australian Shepherd Blue Merle bitch. Always on the go! Had an untimely run in with a UPS delivery truck as a 1 year old. Sukey the escape artist had flown the coop and met the truck coming around the corner. She did not survive. We had become so attached to her that we had to find another Australian Shepherd. Lucky for us Oak Haven Farm in Upatoi, Georgia, had a litter ready and waiting. That was where we found Pepper. Oakhaven's Red and Black Pepper CGC 1991 - 2000 our Black Tri bitch. The first two photos are of Pepper at about 8 weeks, Megan was 6, back in 1991. That second photo is of Pepper and our Maine Coon cat, Midnight (so black it must be midnight?). They were inseparable. The second two taken in 2000 when Pepper was 9+ years, Patrick was about 19. Pepper was our second Australian Shepherd and will be remembered forever for
her sweet disposition and companionship. She was our wonder dog. A new addition to the family! Willowbrook Vue'n Kaleidoscope "Kallie" a Blue Merle bitch. Look for much more on Kallie. She will be joining us at our house Jan. 20th, 2001. We can't wait! Kallie comes to us by way of Laura Neussle of Quietude Farm, Lebanon, TN and Sharon Willis of Willowbrook Australian Shepherds, Lilburn, GA. We are really lucky to have found Kallie. Thanks, Laura and Sharon! Our first photo's of Kallie and the rest of the litter were taken a day or two after birth. The arrows are pointing out the two Blue Merle bitches. There were 4 (or is that 5?) Blue Merles and the rest were Black Tri's for a total of 8. Fairly even distribution of males and females between the Merles and Tri's. Soji, (Kallie's Mom) had the litter just after Thanksgiving Dinner, 2000. Such a considerate mother. Soji is as sweet as they get. We visited when the puppies were 3+ weeks old. Soji first checked us out and then watched to be sure things were ok. Both Soji and Kallie were so cuddly. Kallie snuggled up on Megan's lap and fell asleep. This one's a keeper! Coming and Going! Mom, when can I come out of the corner? I'll be good. I promise!
